CBS Apologizes for Killing Off Steve Jobs!
A little birdie tweeted the wrong news today.
The folks at CBS News’ weekly web show What’s Trending posted word of Steve Jobs‘ death on their affiliated Twitter account, a mistake that was erased roughly one minute later after realizing they had confirmed no such thing.
As you can imagine, they’re quite sorry about errantly reporting that the Apple iCon, who is said to be in failing health, had passed. — E! Online
Homemade Popcorn Flavors
I bought a Geepas popcorn maker a few months ago from Sheeel.com, you might also be able to find it at Deals.com.kw for KD9.500 (including delivery charges). This popcorn maker is good enough compared to it’s low price and I was happy with it… but keep in mind that you won’t be able to use oil nor any flavorings because it doesn’t have a stainless steel kettle (like the one in the above photo)… to be honest I didn’t think much of it at the time, not until I saw these photos! 😮
Bite Silverware
“Mark A. Reigelman II has designed this Bite silverware in an effort to help raise awareness of worldwide epidemics such as starvation and obesity.
He explains “each day millions of individuals lay in hunger while millions more are wastefully overeating. This set of ‘bitten’ silverware highlights the daunting reality of both worldly plagues.” — Jaime

Tablets Craze
Will it ever come to an end? Not that I mind, really, but everyone is going crazy over tablets! The market is already filled with all sorts of tablets yet there are still more being developed. I strongly believe that no tablet will ever replace the iPad, but to be honest, I’m very excited about two soon-to–be-released tablets…
The Amazon 7-inch tablet is rumored to go on sale this November at a price as low as $250 — very competitive compared to the other tablets! But it is said that they’ll be able to make more money from selling music, movies, e-Books and other services which should compensate for the device’s low price. The upcoming tablet will be fully integrated with Amazon’s services and it will be based on Google’s Andriod Honeycomb system (not the E-Ink technology used on their Kindle device).
According to researchers, it is predicted that “the new Amazon tablet could be the first true iPad challenger”.
