This Disney movie is based on a novel by Kathryn Stockett. It tells the story of African American maids in the 60’s in an interesting mix of comedy and drama.

Unless the movie kills the book, then it would be a bad experience. Believe me been there done that. Rarely the movie does the book justice. That is why I’d rather read the book first
